We are excited to share our partnership with a local company dedicated to serving seniors and
their families. Many of you have friends and family members who depend on you for guidance
and assistance. We understand that juggling work obligations, raising children, and attending to
various responsibilities in your life can sometimes hinder your ability to fully devote yourself to
supporting an aging loved one, despite your desire to do so.
In working with Senior Care Authority, we know there is help available on so many levels and in
so many ways to ease your burden. The task of caregiving can be a complex and daunting
undertaking, but we want to help you by connecting you with resources tailored to your specific
needs.
The UAB Employee Assistance & Counseling Services (EACC) can answer questions about
these resources, or you can reach out to Senior Care Authority to speak directly with a trusted
eldercare advisor. The consultation is always provided to you free of charge and will help give
you an understanding of what you can expect.

Carol has been in the business of helping people for her entire career. She earned a Master’s Degree in Counseling and Psychology and LPC certification in 1995 and has pursued a career focused on empowering individuals and their employers as they endeavored to achieve a productive workplace and work-life balance in workplaces and homes across the US since that time.
Today, her focus is on helping employers bring meaningful resources to their employees and their families who are facing the challenges of caregiving for an aging family member or loved one. She is a mother and devoted grandmother who enjoys sunsets in Birmingham, Alabama and Pensacola Beach, Florida.
Linda Needham, Referral Coordinator for Senior Care Authority, has served others her entire career in advertising and marketing. She is highly skilled at assisting individuals and families in the process of selecting a senior living community. There are many choices including independent living, assisted living and memory care. Linda makes recommendations based on budget, location, current and future care and personal preferences. After Linda has assessed the needs, she will arrange visits at the chosen communities and personally accompany the families on the tours, serving as your advocate every step of the way. Linda can also recommend vetted resources such as elder care attorneys as well as guide you to access VA benefits when applicable. Linda is an advocate for the individuals and families.
Donna Wegener, Area Manager for Senior Care Authority, has a 25-year background as an occupational medicine department director and hospital-based medical sales. During this career combined with older family members’ medical and living needs, she developed a passion for patient advocacy and the importance of socialization in aging adults. Donna became a client of Senior Care Authority and experienced firsthand the benefits of having an advisor to streamline the process and reduce the stress associated with such important decisions. She felt the ultimate decision was hers, and having an advocate and navigator on her side, gave her confidence in making the best decision for geography, needs, and cost. Donna is grateful and privileged to assist others in personalized senior placement. She is a graduate of Louisiana State University and resides in Fairhope, Alabama.
